Terms of Service

Last updated: 2 July 2026

These terms are a contract between you and Expression Labs Ltd ("we", "us"), company no. 16912629, registered in England & Wales, 1 Sandpiper Drive, Stockport, SK3 8UL. By creating an account or using Art Vault you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy.

1. What Art Vault does

Art Vault applies protective processing to images you upload — adversarial perturbation, C2PA provenance signing, and an invisible watermark — and stores protected copies in your vault.

2. Free trial & subscriptions

3. Cancelling & refunds

You can cancel any time from your account; cancellation stops the next renewal and you keep access until the end of the paid period.

Because Art Vault is a digital service supplied immediately, by starting to use it during the normal 14-day cancellation period you ask us to begin at once and acknowledge you lose the automatic right to cancel that would otherwise apply under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. This does not affect your legal rights if the service is faulty.

Refund requests: email hello@expressionlabs.co and we'll deal with them fairly and in line with your legal rights.

4. Your content and intellectual property

You keep all rights in the artwork you upload. You grant us only a limited, non-exclusive licence to store and process your images so we can provide the service. We do not sell your work, and we do not use it to train AI models. You confirm you own the work or have permission to upload it.

5. Acceptable use

Don't upload unlawful content or content you don't have rights to, don't attempt to break or abuse the service, and don't resell it without our agreement.

6. What we can and can't promise

Art Vault significantly raises the cost and difficulty of AI scraping and misuse, and we update our defences on a rolling basis. No protection method is guaranteed to be permanent or unbreakable against all future AI techniques. The service is provided "as is" and "as available"; we don't warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation or absolute protection.

7. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law (including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud). Otherwise, to the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we're not liable for indirect or consequential loss.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales, and the courts of England & Wales have jurisdiction. If you use Art Vault as a consumer elsewhere, you keep the benefit of mandatory consumer protections of your home country.
