Art Vault is v1, and you're early. We ship updates most months, driven by what early artists tell us. The protection is layered precisely because no single technique holds forever; the certificate is the part that doesn't degrade. Everything around it gets better with you in the room.
The most common thing people told us after using the free image: I just want to do that again for this one piece. I don't want a monthly plan. Fair. There is now a one-off: £19 for one more protected image and the timestamped certificate issued with it. One payment, nothing renews, nothing to cancel. If a protection job fails, the purchase goes back to your account rather than evaporating.
For represented artists, estates and foundations: £1,200/year with concierge onboarding of an existing catalogue, a 90-day re-protection cycle, a named contact and an annual provenance report. Most people start with a call, so there's a form for that as well as a checkout.
Our landing page said the protection was "absolute". It isn't, our Terms already said so, and this page tells the story of Glaze and Nightshade's algorithm being broken, so the claim contradicted both. It's gone. What we can stand behind is that the protection is layered on purpose, and that the certificate is an independent timestamped record that doesn't degrade. We'd rather you trusted the smaller true claim.
We've simplified. Instead of seven images over seven days, a free account now protects one image, free, with no card, and that image comes with its full proof-of-ownership certificate. We'd rather hand you the whole thing once than a partial version seven times. Beyond that first image, plans start at £8/month. Earlier entries below describe the previous offer; we've left them as they were rather than rewriting history.
That offer rewarded artists who burned through a multi-image trial quickly. With a one-image free tier there is no "quickly" to measure, so it no longer fires. If we bring back a multi-image trial, it comes back with it.

Every image you protect now comes with a timestamped proof-of-ownership certificate: the cryptographic fingerprint of your original and protected files, countersigned by an independent timestamping authority, as a one-page PDF. The kind of evidence timestamping registries charge ~£30/year for, included. (Honest note on the certificate itself: copyright is automatic when you create a work; this is evidence to back your claim, not a government registration.)
Every certificate prints a public link, artvault.art/verify, where anyone (a buyer, a platform, a lawyer) can confirm we witnessed your work on the date shown. No account needed to verify.
